BIO

Marius Hagedorn is a composer, arranger and instrumentalist. His work ranges from film scores and symphonic
concert pieces to experimental pop and ambient music. Playing live, he is mostly active as a cellist & sound designer.

In 2021 Hagedorn began his studies for for film & game music in Enschede, NL.

Many of the short films with his original music, foley & sound design have been screened at festivals like the Go Short Nijmegen or the Jugendfilmpreis Baden-Württemberg. There, he also won the Award for "Best Sound Design" for the film "Sur Pointe" by Alisa Grabowski.

Pieces of Hagedorn have been played & recorded by renowned orchestras such as the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, the Phion Orkest or the StEP Ensemble after winning several contests and calls for scores.

His music is character- and story-driven, and is often based off of narrations or other art pieces. Sometimes wrapped in a late-romantic orchestral coat, other times in chamber music setting, Hagedorn's pieces are often mixed with electronic sounds as well as contemporary
techniques and textures. 

Apart from his film scores & own compositions, Hagedorn's work includes arrangements, recordings and orchestrations for other composers & artists. Furthermore, he plays with the acts FIERE and Jongeman, and has formed a musical duo with Lars Kristian Blom called FUZEI.
